We welcome your family to Adena Local Schools, Home of the Warriors. Our school enrollment is approximately 1,300 students in grades Kindergarten through 12. We also have an onsite preschool with an approximate enrollment of 40.

If you have recently moved into our district please call the school as soon as possible to arrange a time to register your child(ren). Our Summer office hours are usually 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily, but please call ahead to make sure the office is open. Our office phone number is 998-5293.

AGE REQUIREMENT: Children must be 5 years old on or before August 1st of the current or upcoming school year.

We do not accept parent requests for a specific teacher.

If your child(ren) have attended another public school we will have you sign a records request to obtain records from the previously attended school. It is very helpful if you have the previous schools address and/or fax number, especially if you are coming to us from out of state. Please be aware some schools with hold some records if your child(ren) have outstanding fees.

The records needed in order to register your child are:

Child’s Birth Certificate
Child’s Social Security Number
Child’s Shot Record
Custody Papers (if applicable)
Proof of Residency in the Adena Local School System
(Utility Bills work fine)

Please contact the proper agency or health care provider to have all these items in hand and up to date when you register your child.

HOME SCHOOLED STUDENTS: Students who are registering with us after previously being home schooled must take an academic screening before they will be placed in a grade level.

OPEN ENROLLMENT DEADLINES: Students must apply for open enrollment before September 30th of the current school year. Please contact any office to receive an application.
