Our very own Jacilynn Woods. We could not have been prouder of this outgoing and motivated young woman. She will most certainly make an extraordinary future Family, Career, and Community Leader of America.

WELCOME TO ADENA FCCLA

WHERE WE CULTIVATE, APPRECIATE, AND ENCOURAGE OUR FAMILY, CAREER, AND COMMUNITY LEADERS OF AMERICA.

Thank you for stopping by our page. We are so excited to share all of the wonderful activities and events our youth have been able to engage in across the community and across the nation over the years. Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America is a student led organization that specifically develops and engages in activities that promote family living, community service, and cultivating the young people of our day into respectable and effective leaders of tomorrow. Our national FCCLA advisers describe it in the following way:

“Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a nonprofit national career and technical student organization for young men and women in Family and Consumer Sciences education in public and private school through grade 12. Everyone is part of a family, and FCCLA is the only national Career and Technical Student Organization with the family as its central focus. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.” - NLT

MISSION

Our mission is to promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.

CREED

We are the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. We face the future with warm courage and high hope. For we have the clear consciousness of seeking old and precious values. For we are the builders of homes, Homes for America's future, Homes where living will be the expression of everything that is good and fair, Homes where truth and love and security and faith will be realities, not dreams. We are the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. We face the future with warm courage and high hope.

A BIG THANK YOU

Ms. Hampton and the current FCCLA members here at Adena High School would like to send out a big thank you to the former adviser, Mrs. Pam Cormany as well as the previous members for building such a strong and fruitful program. Your hard work and dedication will pay off for years to come. Because of you, we are able to continue to do similar projects and have similar experiences. Most importantly, we are able to continue providing community service and leadership opportunities to more young people in our school. You will always be missed and remembered. Thank you for your service to our community.
