Our Culinary students cracked the code to egg-cellent cooking! 🥚 They mastered a variety of techniques, from perfectly poached to fluffy scrambled, and explored the versatility of this kitchen staple. A special shoutout to Miss Angel for bringing in quail eggs, adding a unique and delicious twist to the lesson!

Our middle school students had a blast at the 3rd quarter PBIS reward trip to Great Seal State Park on Friday! 🎉 Students with excellent attendance, behavior, and completed work across all classes enjoyed a day of fun, including hiking, basketball, wiffleball, volleyball, badminton, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, board games, delicious s'mores, and more. They even helped with a fantastic cleanup effort afterward! We're incredibly proud of their dedication and positive attitudes. A huge thank you to Neil Coleman Insurance, Gerber Insurance, Concord Fire Department, Deerfield Fire Station, Herr's Chips, Ritchies Marketplace Grocery, The Village Scoop, Deeply Rooted, and so many other amazing individual donors who made this trip a reality! The National Junior Honor Society is hosting the Adena Middle School Spring Formal for 7th and 8th graders on Saturday, April 26 from 7-9 in the middle school gymnasium! The dress code is semi-formal and refreshments will be available!

Fantastic results from our band competition yesterday evening! 🌟 Our Junior High Symphonic Band received a Superior (1) rating, the highest possible score! Our High School Wind Ensemble earned an Excellent (2) rating. For those unfamiliar, judges score on a scale of 1-5, with 1 being Superior, 2 Excellent, and so on. We're so proud of both groups for their outstanding performances!
Learning isn't just about textbooks! Recently, our Ag Science classes tackled real-world skills. Students explored anatomical structures through dissection and learned to make smart financial decisions with a fun game. 🐖💰 We're working to equip them with the knowledge they need for success in all areas of life.
3rd Grade B.L.U.E. Leaders: Jase was genuinely a respectful, active listener when our classroom had a guest read to us about inclusion! Each and every day, Oren and Declan are committed to helping clean up the entire classroom! They always pitch in and do what is expected during the end of the day checkout in our classroom!
5th Grade B.L.U.E. Leaders: Jacey always comes to music ready to sing! Today she did her solfege perfectly, even our "trampoline" warm-up where they have to jump between notes! Lilly works for the bank and sometimes misses a few minutes of our class on Thursdays, but that doesn't stop her from coming in and getting right to work! She is always focused and ready to sing/participate as soon as she walks through the doors!
Kindergarten B.L.U.E. Leader: Liam saw another student in distress and chose to take action. He kindly held their hand and had them smiling when they made it back to the classroom.

Catch My Breath, an evidence-based, anti-vaping curriculum, is finishing up this week with our 8th grade. Students are learning the facts about what the harmful chemicals found in vapes actually do to the body. Thank you Paige Baxter from the Ross County Health District, for spending time with us!
4th Grade B.L.U.E. Leader: Lucas always does his best in music class. He is an excellent PAX leader, always showing PAX and encouraging others to do their best. He is on task, focused, attentive, and brings his best singing voice to class every time!
Kindergarten B.L.U.E. Leaders: Trip chose to help other struggling students when building 3D shapes with marshmallows and toothpicks. He used appropriate words and a soft smile. Thanks for helping us teach, Trip! Josephine showed great respect in the classroom when she had accidently bumped another student making them cry. She immediately rushed to their side to make sure they were okay and apologize.
3rd Grade B.L.U.E. Leaders: Heireonna and Cannon were very respectful and acting as leaders during social emotional learning in the library. They were demonstrating BLUE behavior and were role models for their classmates.
Thought you saw Miss Leedy's Biology class skipping class? Nope! 😂 They were on a top-secret (not really) scavenger hunt mission! Hallway teamwork at its finest. Who knew learning could be this much fun?
