Adena's Agricultural Education course is doing an excellent job of preparing students for future leadership roles in their communities and beyond.
Agricultural Education students have been actively practicing a mock meeting using proper Parliamentary Procedure. It's great to see students taking the initiative to learn and apply these essential skills. Parliamentary Procedure is a set of rules that govern how meetings are run, ensuring that everyone has a fair chance to speak and that decisions are made in an orderly and efficient manner.
By practicing Parliamentary Procedure, Adena's students are not only learning how to conduct meetings effectively, but they are also developing essential leadership and communication skills. They are learning how to present their ideas clearly and persuasively, listen actively to others, and work collaboratively to achieve common goals.
Keep up the great work, Adena Ag students!

Mrs. Colter reports that Macey is always such a caring and kind student. She has done many good deeds throughout this school year to demonstrate this. For example, earlier in the year, she brought in a box of used pencils in good condition to donate to the class. Her most recent kind act- She wanted to bring in a class treat for Halloween. She was aware of an allergy in our classroom. She and her mom researched, planned, and made cookies that were free of the allergen! This was all Macey's idea, and she was so excited to be able to provide a treat that everyone could enjoy! Her thoughtfulness shines through in everything she does!

Positive behavior is a great way to start a Monday. Mrs. Miller reports that Paisley shows good behavior each and every day. She is an outstanding example of pride,

Hey everyone! Did you hear about the Halloween Parade at our elementary school? It was so much fun! The JR/SR high school students cheered on their favorite costumes as the elementary students took a parade route through the campus. Even the staff had a little fun supporting the cause. Special shout-out to the JR/SR High School, for supporting the elementary and their week of celebration. You helped make it extra special!

"When teenagers could be doing anything else with their free time, and they choose to use it to carve pumpkins with a child, that is pretty special. Thank you, FCCLA members and Advisor Christine Hampton, for carving pumpkins with our latchkey kids."

Drug-Free Clubs of America M.A.D.E. Rally Big Success!
Today, let's take a moment to congratulate Tara Mess, the M.A.D.E Advisor and Adena school counselor, and the students of Adena for their significant contribution at the M.A.D.E. event that took place earlier today in Chillicothe. Adena sent four buses of students to the event, which brought close to 1,600 kids to Chillicothe's Yoctangee Park, marching to the Ross County Court House for the rally. The M.A.D.E club is an organization that aims to promote a drug-free lifestyle among young people and encourages them to make positive decisions. We are proud of the commitment our Warriors continue to honor as drug-free students!

Mrs. Smith reports that Mallory was a good friend to another student. Mallory was at the front of the line but when she saw that another student was upset, she let her move to the front of the line to make her feel better. Way to have empathy Mallory!

It’s never too early to talk with your children about the risks of marijuana use. Research suggests that one of the most influential factors for children is a strong, open relationship with a parent. Though it may not seem like it, children hear your concerns, and it’s important that you discuss the risks of using marijuana with them. For useful information, please refer to the attached pamphlet.
