The third-grade teachers in collaboration with Mr. Hammond recently challenged the third-grade classes to help solve arguably the greatest challenge of this century. We are faced with it daily and no matter how hard we seem to try; it just will not go away. That challenge is laundry! The washing, the drying, the folding, and then putting it away.
The students really enjoyed how we approached solving this challenge. Each student was tasked to build their own prototype ‘Laundry Robot’ that could take care of every step of the laundry process for us. The students planned and designed these robots in an online tool called Tinkercad. The creativity of the third-grade classes and how quickly they picked up on the creation process were quite impressive. Once they were done designing, they got to see their creations come to life with our newly acquired 3D printers.

For part of his final project in Technical Theatre, senior Dalton Skeens created a publicity poster for the upcoming Chillicothe Civic Theatre production of GREASE he is performing in this year. Mr. Drummond passed his design onto the producers, and they decided to use his poster design as their official publicity for the show! CONGRATULATIONS, DALTON!
The Adena Elementary Kindergarten Graduation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 24th at 9:00 a.m. in the high school gymnasium.
The doors will open at 8:30 a.m. All visitors will park in the back parking lot and enter through the rear entrance to attend the event.

All high school student Chromebooks must be returned by Thursday, May 25, 2023. Chromebook, charger, and case must returned together. A fee will be charged for any Chromebook, charger, or case that is not checked in by the end of the school day 5/25/23.
