Part of our PBIS system is that each classroom has a set of rewards for smaller levels of tickets earned. These rewards vary by the grade level. At the kindergarten level, 100 tickets earns being Principal for the Day. Both Amelia and Macy earned this today. The girls learned that comfy shoes are a must for being a principal. They walked a lot! We had a great time with our future leaders. Keep up the great work Principal Beery and Principal Wood!

Today is Atomic Credit Union Day at Adena Local Schools! Remember to bring your Adena Student Run Atomic Credit Union deposits! If a student needs an account application, he/she can stop by the table in the morning and pick one up.

Our students are diving deep into the fascinating world of anatomy!
First, they put on their detective hats to investigate the mysterious "trauma" suffered by our resident pickle "person." 🥒 This hands-on activity sparked their curiosity and prepared them for the next challenge: dissecting a sheep brain! 🐑
Learning about the intricate structures of the brain🧠 has been an incredible experience, and these Warriors were eager to explore!

Liam did a great job today of being respectful and following the expectations during lunch by putting his head down and sitting quietly while he waited to go to recess. Even while some of his friends were not making good choices, Liam continued to do what he should to set the example!

Dezmond has such a big heart and it shows. He comes in saying "good morning" and gives kind compliments throughout the day! Nash is constantly helping others in a kind manner. His smile lights up a room! Emilynn always comes to school with a great attitude and ready to learn. She works hard everyday and she is a great friend to all of her classmates. Lincoln always works very hard and gives his best effort. He also shows excellent PAX leadership in the hallway and in the classroom. Piper has been working very hard in the classroom. She has been giving her best effort and making a lot of progress! Hunter has adjusted well to his first week back. He was very helpful at the end of the day. If someone forgot to put their chair up, he went and put it up for them. He did a great job of getting his area cleaned up at the end of the day as well.

This week in 6th Grade History with Mr. Spriggs, students learned how ancient Egyptians used papyrus, a reed plant, to make paper, boats, and even sandals! 🌿 They then tried their hand at making their own paper from Yucca.
